I am deeply rooted in a person-centered, empowering approach and see all behavior as nervous-system based responses. I incorporate body-based regulation strategies and Polyvagal Theory into all of my work. I also utilize cognitive-behavioral and family systems approaches both in play therapy and individual work with adults and caregivers.
I am fully credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana and a Registered Play TherapistTM. I am a member of the Association for Play Therapy and the Louisiana Association for Play Therapy. I earned my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans in 2021, where I was also received the Regina Matthews Oehmig Award for Excellence in Counseling. Since graduating, I have engaged in additional training opportunities in AutPlay Therapy and Synergetic Play Therapy.
I am a mom of two wonderfully neurodiverse kids, and I get how hard and how beautiful parenting can be. Whether you are looking for a warm, fun and compassionate play therapist for your child or support for yourself, I would love the opportunity to see if I am a good fit for you and your family.
